Aims  To examine the effectiveness of transdermal selegiline for producing cigarette smoking abstinence.Design  Adult smokers were randomly assigned to receive selegiline transdermal system (STS) or placebo given for 8 weeks. All participants received cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).
