Course Rationale |
The evidence shows that motivational interviewing (MI) can be effective in helping people make positive changes in their lives. The fully interactive three-day training course combines discussion of the theory underlying MI with opportunities to learn and practice the core skills. |
Participants will develop both a toolkit and a plan to help implement MI into their existing working practices. The course includes an additional ‘review day’ during which participants will have the opportunity to feed-back their thoughts on using MI in their workplace, and will take part in an observed MI session to put their new skills to use. |
