Course objectives: |
On completion of the course participants will be able to: |
Prepare for the process of writing by fully understanding the aims of the report. |
Structure the report correctly: terms of reference, procedure/method, findings, (executive) summary, introduction, methodology, results, conclusions, recommendations, bibliography, appendices. |
| Combine words, headings, figures, lists, tables, and references to maximum effect. |
Adopt a concise and succinct writing style. |
Avoid common writing errors – grammar, punctuation, spelling. |
Present ‘unwelcome’ information in a constructive way. |
