We get many requests for information every week from people who want to start working in the Drug and Alcohol Sector. Unfortunately, it is just not possible to answer them all. So we have put together some resources that we hope will help.
Most entry level jobs will be called something like project worker, team worker or support worker. They may be in community projects, housing organisations or within some part of the criminal justice system - many areas employ drugs and alcohol workers to do arrest referral work in custody suites or in prison teams.
We have described what is expected from some of these roles in the keyworking section of the site.
