Experience

Tim has been employed across the health and social care sector for a number of types of organisation in the voluntary, NHS and Local Authority Sectors at both local and national levels. This means that he knows the issues of joint working and crossing boundaries between types of services.

Since he began working with DrugScope, Tim has been the driving force behind the shape, structure and delivery of its training. Many of the courses offered are delivered in association with them - these ones are listed here.

  • Writing the Essential Drug and Alcohol Worker
  • Establishing www.alcohol-drugs.co.uk, delivering and co-ordinating the range of training services it provides.
  • Managing/ editing the Skilled Service Manager series of NTA publications
  • Authoring/ editing online national learning material for  Skills  for Justice Progression Award (Home Office/ NTA funded)
  • Delivering regional training for managers, trainers and practitioners – National Crack pilot – Home Office and National Treatment Agency
  • Authoring and delivering materials – National Treatment Agency competence based learning modules on risk assessment, service management.
  • Mapping jobs for a London Borough against DANOS (the Drugs and Alcohol National Occupational Standards).
